About The Position

IMT, an Oshkosh company, manufactures service vehicles and material handling systems for industries including mining, construction, tire service, railroad, and utilities. Weld team members combine manufactured and purchased parts to create service boxes and truck bodies. The role may involve welding crane parts or truck boxes, working with various metals, and performing repairs and weld cleanup to complete truck bodies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of welding experience.
• Basic blueprint-reading ability.
• Ability to read measuring instruments.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts in fixtures and tack weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals of all gauges.
• Assemble and weld metal parts to meet IMT standards.
• Cut, fit, heat, and bend materials; perform weld repairs and rebuild parts as directed.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Be a reliable and punctual team member.
