About The Position

Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role involves preparing accurate federal and state tax returns, identifying deductions and credits, and providing exceptional customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Positions are seasonal and available on a part-time or full-time basis, with flexible scheduling. Compensation is $16.50 to $17.00 per hour, with potential performance-based bonuses. Jackson Hewitt offers free training, continuing education, ongoing support, and potential opportunities to return for future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.

Requirements

• At least one season of professional tax preparation experience; two or more seasons preferred.
• Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). The company can assist with the application or renewal process.
