Seasonal Experienced Tax Preparer
About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is seeking seasonal Experienced Tax Preparers for the upcoming tax season. This role is suited to tax professionals with at least three tax seasons of hands-on experience in a professional tax office. The position offers hourly pay, performance-based earning opportunities, flexible scheduling, paid training, and free continuing tax education. Strong performers may build a client base, expand their tax knowledge, and pursue leadership opportunities. Experienced Tax Preparers prepare individual federal and state tax returns, interview clients, identify applicable credits and deductions, and provide a positive client experience. Candidates must pass a tax knowledge assessment to demonstrate proficiency for the Experienced Tax Pro role.
Requirements
- At least 3 tax seasons of hands-on experience working in a professional tax office.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence working directly with clients.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and willingness to continue learning.
- Successfully pass a tax knowledge assessment to demonstrate proficiency for the Experienced Tax Pro role.
- PTIN certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in tax preparation, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or customer service is a plus.
Responsibilities
