About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is hiring experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role prepares accurate federal and state tax returns, identifies deductions and credits, and provides exceptional customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Part-time and full-time seasonal positions are available. The company offers hourly pay with performance-based bonus opportunities, flexible scheduling, telemedicine and virtual healthcare for the employee’s household for $13 per month, corporate and tax-preparation discounts, free training, continuing education, and ongoing support. Employees may return in future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- At least one season of professional tax preparation experience.
- Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN); assistance with application or renewal is available.
