About The Position
Jackson Hewitt is seeking experienced tax preparers for the upcoming tax season. The role prepares accurate federal and state tax returns, identifies deductions and credits, and provides customer service using the company’s proprietary tax preparation software. Positions are seasonal and available part-time or full-time, with flexible scheduling. The company offers hourly pay and performance-based bonus opportunities, telemedicine and virtual healthcare for the household through Teladoc for $13 per month, employee discounts, discounted tax preparation services, free training, continuing education, and ongoing support. There may be opportunities to return for future tax seasons or advance into leadership roles.
Requirements
- At least one season of professional tax preparation experience.
- Knowledge of individual federal and state income tax returns.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN); the company can assist with the application or renewal process.
