About The Position

This role supports clients with a variety of accounting and finance tasks. The position may function in capacities such as Accounting Manager, Controller, or Project Manager, and involves managing multiple client stakeholders. It oversees month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes, prepares accounting reports, and participates in ad hoc projects. The role also performs client due diligence, assists with SEC reporting, and resolves complex accounting issues, including helping clients implement new accounting pronouncements such as ASC 606 and ASC 842. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Accounting preferred.
• Five or more years of related experience required.
• Experience working with public, private, or private equity companies required.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP required.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
• Technical skills commensurate with level of experience.
• Demonstrate professionalism, including under pressure.
• Be a team player, contribute knowledge, and ask for help when needed.
• Learn quickly and work ethically and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels of customer and internal organizations.
• Continually strive to improve interpersonal, management, functional, and technical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Professional services industry experience.
• Public accounting experience.
• Advanced-level MS Excel experience.
• CPA license or certification.
• Ability to travel at least 50%.

Responsibilities

• Function in various capacities for clients, including Accounting Manager, Controller, or Project Manager.
• Manage multiple client stakeholders simultaneously.
• Prepare miscellaneous accounting reports.
• Participate in ad hoc projects.
• Oversee all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Perform due diligence procedures for clients.
• Assist clients with SEC reporting.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and assist clients with implementation of new accounting pronouncements, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Perform other duties as required.
