About The Position

Harnish Auto Family, a family-owned dealership group serving the Puget Sound for over 40 years, is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager. Responsibilities include leading and coaching sales professionals, driving monthly sales performance and gross profit, structuring deals, maintaining involvement in the sales process, training staff on product knowledge and CRM usage, partnering with F&I, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all policies and legal requirements. The role also involves creating a culture of urgency, professionalism, and customer-first experience. Requirements

  • Proven success as an Automotive Sales Manager
  • Strong leadership presence, able to set expectations and enforce them
  • Experience driving KPIs: units, gross, closing ratios, and product penetration
  • Ability to develop talent, not just manage it
  • High level of organization and follow-through in a fast-moving environment
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and dealership systems
  • Growth mindset, willing to adapt, improve, and raise the bar

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and hold accountability for a team of sales professionals
  • Drive monthly sales performance, gross profit, and KPI attainment
  • Desk deals, structure transactions, and ensure profitability standards are met
  • Maintain strong involvement in the sales process from greeting to delivery
  • Train and develop staff on product knowledge, CRM usage, and sales process
  • Partner with F&I to maximize product penetration and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage inventory, merchandising, and aging units
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and legal requirements
  • Create a culture of urgency, professionalism, and customer-first experience
