This position may be filled as an Ambulatory RN Level 1 or 2, depending on individual experience, education, and other qualifications. OU Health Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic is a high-volume, mission-driven academic practice providing comprehensive women’s health services across all 77 counties in Oklahoma. We care for approximately 5,900 patients each month, offering a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic services, including prenatal care, high-risk obstetrics, and preventative women’s health. Our multidisciplinary team of 75+ physicians, APPs, residents, social workers, and clinical staff is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong focus on safety, outcomes, and experience. An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) Ambulatory I works under general supervision, providing the highest quality of care in an ambulatory setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. RN I represents the nurse who is a novice or an advanced beginner advancing to competent. While advancing from novice to competent, the nurse relies on rules rather than principles which are independent of specific situations. The advanced beginner may have enough real experience to begin to formulate principles.
