About The Position

North Austin Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician to provide exceptional patient care and client service as part of a collaborative, supportive team. This full-time role offers a negotiable salary based on experience and licensure. The schedule is three or four 10-hour weekday shifts, with rotating Saturdays.

Requirements

• Previous Veterinary Technician experience or veterinary technician licensure is preferred.
• Passion for exceptional patient care and client service.
• Knowledge of preventive care and vaccine protocols.
• Strong technical skills, including patient restraint, sample collection, and diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and client education abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

• Previous Veterinary Technician experience or veterinary technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and restrain patients using low-stress techniques.
• Assist with wellness care, preventive medicine, and vaccine protocols.
• Provide emergency and surgical patient support.
• Obtain diagnostic samples, including phlebotomy, radiographs, and laboratory specimens.
• Perform in-house laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members.
• Support daily hospital operations while delivering exceptional patient care.
