About The Position

Pop-A-Lock is hiring an experienced locksmith in Milwaukee. The role provides mobile locksmith services across automotive, residential, and commercial settings. The locksmith installs, maintains, rebuilds, and repairs mechanical and electrical locking devices and door hardware. Senior locksmiths may handle complex work such as lockpicking, installations, repairs, and safe-cracking, and support junior locksmiths. The work offers independence, variety, customer interaction, and performance-based commissions and tips. Pop-A-Lock provides training, a company vehicle and gas card, tools, equipment, inventory, and uniforms.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a locksmith.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work alone confidently.
• Motivation to succeed and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Above-average technical and mechanical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Trustworthiness, reliability, patience, and attention to detail.
• Strong customer communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to work with a variety of team members.
• Ability to pass a background check appropriate to the nature of the job.
• Availability for flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, rebuild, and repair mechanical and electrical locking devices and door hardware.
• Provide locksmith services for automotive, residential, and commercial customers.
• Solve complex technical problems, including lockpicking, installation, repairs, and safe-cracking.
• Support junior locksmiths.
• Work independently while providing customer service in the community.

Benefits

• Earnings of $45,000–$75,000 based on performance commissions; nominally $22–$27 per hour on average including base pay, commissions, and tips.
