About The Position

Palo Alto Mind Body is an innovative mental wellness practice serving the San Francisco Bay Area that emphasizes the connection between mental and physical health. The Experienced Infusion Nurse is an important member of the clinical team, providing attentive, compassionate care and service to patients throughout treatment. This is a full-time, in-person outpatient position. Primary clinic hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, though actual shifts may vary based on patient scheduling.

Requirements

Active California nursing license as an RN or LVN.
Superior IV-start skills.
BLS/ACLS certification.
Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinic staff.
Caring, friendly, patient- and service-oriented manner; professional and compassionate communication.
Reliable, energetic, dedicated, organized, and able to multitask.
Comfort using Chromebooks, G-suite, secure messaging, and EHR/EMR systems.
Knowledge of HIPAA policies and best practices.
Commitment to COVID safety protocols.
Proof of COVID vaccination before starting employment.
No pending actions by the board of nursing in California or any other state.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience managing psychiatric patients, treatments, and medication.

Responsibilities

Start IVs and administer medications.
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and other medical information.
Provide individualized personal care to patients throughout their treatment.
Assist with patient transport within the clinic, including pushing a patient in a wheelchair.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and clinic staff.
Follow HIPAA policies and COVID safety protocols.
