About The Position

Savannah Distributing Company is hiring experienced Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and Wholesale Delivery Drivers for its Savannah team. Drivers operate a 26-foot box truck on established local routes, delivering beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to retail customers. The work involves managing routes and delivery schedules, regular customer interaction, product handling, and completing delivery documentation and vehicle inspections. No CDL is required. Starting compensation is based on relevant beverage distribution experience, driving qualifications, and demonstrated skills. Base pay plus commission offers the opportunity to earn approximately $50,000–$60,000 or more annually, depending on experience, route performance, commission, hours worked, and other applicable compensation. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days of employment.

Routes are local to the Savannah area, with early start times typically between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM and approximately 15–25 customer stops per day. The position is active and hands-on, requiring frequent loading, unloading, and movement of beverage products, including work in varying weather conditions. The company's delivery fleet is described as well-maintained and equipped with modern safety technology, driver-assistance features, onboard camera systems, and telematics.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional driving experience in wholesale beer, wine, spirits, or non-alcoholic beverage delivery.
• Experience with Direct Store Delivery (DSD), wholesale distribution, or established beverage delivery routes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Driving record that meets company MVR requirements.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and required drug screening.
• Experience safely loading, unloading, and handling delivery products.
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills.
• Dependable work history and ability to work independently.
• Ability to frequently lift and move 30–50 pounds and occasionally 60+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-foot box truck on assigned local delivery routes.
• Deliver beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages to retail customers.
• Efficiently manage assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Load, unload, and move products using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and provide professional service.
• Handle product returns and required delivery documentation.
• Collect customer payments when required.
• Complete delivery logs, reports, and vehicle inspections.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements.
