About The Position
TheKey is hiring experienced caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home care for aging adults in San Marcos, California, and surrounding areas. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers pay rates from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, a sign-on bonus program of up to $750, and full-time and part-time opportunities. All shifts are currently available. TheKey describes itself as the largest provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America. Its local teams support caregivers as they help older adults maintain quality of life. Caregivers must meet applicable California registration, background screening, and employment eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- California HCA registration; TheKey can help the caregiver obtain registration upon hire.
- Meet state background requirements, including timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment.
- Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
- TB clearance or chest X-ray.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
- Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
- Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
