About The Position

Home Instead is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide personalized, one-on-one care to older adults in Warren County, Iowa. The position is intended for people with hands-on experience in personal care, mobility assistance, or dementia support. Caregivers help clients maintain independence, comfort, and dignity at home while building meaningful relationships with them. Part-time recurring shifts are available on weekday mornings from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, weekend mornings from 8 AM to 12:30 PM, and weekend full days from 8 AM to 8 PM. Applicants may be available for weekdays, weekends, or both. The role includes paid orientation and ongoing training, 24/7 on-call support, and opportunities for additional hours. Starting pay is $17 per hour on weekdays and $18 per hour on weekends. Health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits are available subject to eligibility requirements.

Requirements

Previous experience providing hands-on personal care, mobility assistance, or dementia support.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Availability for recurring weekday morning and/or weekend shifts.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow individualized care plans.
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
Willingness to travel to clients within Warren County.

Responsibilities

Assist older adults with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
Provide safe mobility and transfer assistance.
Support clients living with dementia or memory-related challenges.
Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
Help clients maintain independence, comfort, and dignity at home.
Follow individualized care plans.
