About The Position

Griswold Home Care is seeking experienced caregivers who understand that reliability and communication are just as important as compassion. Our clients count on you, and we want to be able to count on you, too. We are looking for caregivers who show up, communicate, follow through, and take pride in their work. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect reliability, honesty, accountability, and communication. If you are frequently late, cancel shifts at the last minute, or struggle with communication, this position may not be the right fit.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults
• Clean criminal background
• Reliable form of transportation
• Dependable and committed to their scheduled shifts
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass required background and employment screenings
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Three professional references

Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Personal care and assistance with daily activities
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Medication reminders

• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Care-plan support
• Client observation and reporting
• Documentation and communication with the office
• Communicate promptly and professionally
• Are comfortable working independently in clients' homes
• Follow care plans and office instructions
• Notice and report changes in a client's condition or needs
• Take initiative and pride in their work
• Treat clients, families, and coworkers with respect
