About The Position

Griswold Home Care is seeking experienced caregivers who understand that reliability and communication are just as important as compassion. Our clients count on you, and we want to be able to count on you, too. We are looking for caregivers who show up, communicate, follow through, and take pride in their work. If you are frequently late, cancel shifts at the last minute, or struggle with communication, this position may not be the right fit. We don't expect perfection. We do expect reliability, honesty, accountability, and communication.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass required background and employment screenings
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Three professional references

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation
• Provide personal care and assistance with daily activities
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Offer mobility and safety assistance
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands
• Support care plans
• Observe and report client changes
• Document and communicate with the office
