About The Position
This role involves supporting several seniors in the Columbia area, focusing on building real relationships and helping them maintain safety and independence at home. Many clients have Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. The ideal candidate is calm, patient, confident, and provides comfort and stability. Some clients enjoy activities like conversation, music, or walks, while others value a familiar presence, routine, and respectful interaction. This position offers purpose for those who excel in memory care.
Requirements
- Professional caregiving experience required
- Strong Alzheimer's and dementia care experience required
- Experience with personal care, transfers, and walkers
- Comfortable supporting higher-acuity clients
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable working around dogs
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Clear criminal background and drug screen
Responsibilities

- Meal preparation and following recipes
- Light housekeeping and laundry
