About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Body Repair Technician, described in the posting as an Autobody Prepper, to perform bodywork on multiple vehicle panels at a Carvana vehicle reconditioning center. The work includes heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, and large-area heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair. The role uses state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech Inspection Center. Carvana provides training programs for employees joining in entry-level positions so their skills and pay can progress with the company. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities
