About The Position

FAO Schwarz is seeking charismatic performers to bring immersive retail experiences to life at its iconic New York City flagship at 30 Rock. Experience Performers will step into playful, theatrical worlds where storytelling, character, improvisation, hospitality, and retail converge. Depending on the specific experience, performers may embody roles such as stylists, artists, inventors, chefs, explorers, experts, or entirely original characters. The core objective is to make guests feel as though they have entered a unique and unparalleled environment. This role blends elements of non-traditional retail and performance art, requiring performers to engage directly with guests, improvise in real-time, narrate stories, demonstrate products, lead hands-on activities, and craft memorable moments while providing exceptional hospitality and driving sales.

Requirements

Experience in areas such as interactive or immersive theatre, children's theatre, theme parks, character performance, immersive entertainment, comedy or improv, or experiential hospitality.
Strong improvisational ability.

Perform in character throughout immersive guest experiences.
Bring different characters, stories, and experiential concepts to life.
Improvise naturally and confidently with children and adults.
