About The Position

The Mainland Kitchen + Bar at the Holiday Inn Manahawkin is seeking full-time, part-time, and seasonal individuals to join their fast-paced hotel restaurant team. The Expeditor serves as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring dishes are accurately prepared, beautifully presented, and promptly delivered to guests. This role is suited for individuals who excel under pressure, communicate effectively, and are dedicated to providing outstanding guest experiences.

Requirements

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant experience preferred (expo, server, or line cook experience a plus)

Responsibilities

Coordinate food flow between kitchen and service staff during high-volume service
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to order specifications and presentation standards
Verify accuracy of tickets before food leaves the kitchen
Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, servers, and management
Organize and prioritize orders to maintain timely service
Garnish and plate food when necessary, according to restaurant standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line
Assist in resolving order discrepancies quickly and professionally
Monitor ticket times and help maintain consistent pacing during service
Support overall team efficiency and guest satisfaction
