About The Position

The River Club is seeking individuals who are the best of the best and who have an exceptional service attitude to join their team. This role ensures members have an enjoyable dining experience by promptly bringing out server’s dinner orders to the dining room, and assists servers and bartenders in all aspects of service.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and/or oral direction in English.
  • Knowledge of common laws of courtesy required.
  • Must be able to work on feet, moving about at a quick pace for several hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 35 pounds, to include furniture, trash, glasses, dishes, ice, beer, wine, liquor- individually, on racks and/or trays, or by cases.

Nice To Haves

  • Food & beverage experience preferred.
  • Some knowledge of food & beverage terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be punctual at all times and arrive to work on time, consistently.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Clothing must be in proper taste, crisp, and in good repair, upon entering the property, including wearing name tag.
  • Demeanor must be professional and welcoming.
  • Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; Management has final approval.
  • Become proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features.
  • Make sure all side work is complete, before opening.
  • Perform all kitchen prep and set-up as outlined on side work sheets
  • Assist servers in the set up of tables.
  • Run out all food orders form the kitchen to the servers and bartenders.
  • Communicate all food orders to the Chef in the kitchen and special member/guest requests.
  • Attend pre-shift meeting to learn daily specials, and miscellaneous information
  • Monitor kitchen during shift for bread levels in warmers and ice tea and coffee stations
  • Assist servers and bartender during shift
  • Greet members with a SMILE and give all initial water service
  • Remove trays with dirty dishes from dining room.
  • Reset tables during service.
  • Communicate with Servers, Bartenders, Dining Room Captain and Dining Room Manager.
  • Perform any daily and weekly cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Set up for next function, to include moving furniture.
  • Check out with Dining Room Captain and Dining Room Manager before leaving.
  • Perform other jobs that will assist in quality member service as assigned by the Server, Bartender, Dining Room Captain and Dining Room Manager.
