About The Position

An Expeditor is core restaurant support staff responsible for table maintenance and for assisting wait staff and bartenders with bussing, food running, and barback duties as directed. The role coordinates communication between the kitchen and service staff to help ensure order quality and accuracy and provide a seamless guest experience. The Expeditor also maintains the expedition side of the line and server station supplies, supports restaurant setup and side duties, and follows food safety and sanitation practices.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, recognized equivalent of a high school diploma (RED), or foreign high school diploma (FHD).
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
Valid Food Handler’s card; onsite certification is provided.
Ability to stand and move quickly for an 8–10-hour shift.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in a smoking environment.
Willingness to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Responsibilities

Promote superior guest service.
Maintain a positive organizational culture consistent with the Spirit of Tâlícn and ilani Core Values.
Set up and maintain the expedition side of the line.
Set up and maintain server station drink receptacles, including filling ice.
Maintain stocks of non-alcoholic beverages and paper goods.
Bring requisitions from the cage and warehouse and put items away in an organized manner.
Assist servers and bartenders with table maintenance as directed.
Communicate between the kitchen and service staff to ensure order quality and accuracy.
Learn restaurant table and seat numbers across table configurations.
Clear, reset, and arrange tables as required.
Ensure front-of-house sanitation and food safety practices are followed, including refreshing sanitizer buckets and using proper cleaning methods.
Maintain detailed knowledge of food offerings to support consistency in products.
Run food using proper service methods.
Prepare leftover food for takeout as needed.
Complete side duties, including polishing silverware, restaurant setup, and filling condiments.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
