About The Position

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Expeditor/ Quality Control position in Vancouver, WA. Our client is a well-established manufacturing company known for quality, precision, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. This is a hybrid position combining dimensional quality inspection with shipping and receiving responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a steel or metal manufacturing environment and must be comfortable using precision measuring devices to inspect flat and formed parts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the steel, metal fabrication, or manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring devices is required.
  • Experience performing dimensional inspections or quality checks on manufactured parts.
  • Ability to accurately use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify dimensional or quality issues.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production, quality, and shipping teams.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.

  • Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on flat and formed steel parts, ensuring dimensional requirements and specifications are met.
  • Conduct dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring devices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to verify part dimensions.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
  • Identify and document dimensional discrepancies or non-conforming parts and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including receiving incoming materials and preparing finished products for shipment.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
  • Assist with material movement, organization, inventory, and staging throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate inspection, shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping teams to help keep orders moving efficiently through the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the position develops and business needs evolve.
