The Expeditor of Home Delivered Meals is responsible for managing the distribution of cooked or catered meals to drivers and deliverers of Home Delivered Meals (HDML). This role involves receiving meals from caterers, ensuring accurate counts and meal preferences per route, organizing and preparing meals for dispatch, and communicating effectively with drivers and the HDM team. The Expeditor will also identify areas for process improvement, support meal splitting and route adjustments, ensure safe food distribution practices, monitor food temperatures, and assist with timely driver dispatching and loading operations. Additionally, the role includes assisting drivers with meal packing, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, serving as a backup driver when needed, and providing general program support such as assisting in holiday or emergency planning and interacting with various stakeholders.
