About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award. Prevailance is seeking experienced, mission-focused professionals to be Medical Support Instructors for Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR) Expeditionary Combat Skills Courses in Gulfport, Mississippi. Travel may be required. Instructors will deliver formal course curriculum in the areas of Basic First Aid and Defense Health Agency (DHA) Combat Lifesaver / Tier 2 Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). Instructors shall conduct daily set-up and maintenance of all medical training aides utilized during training. Instructors shall maintain current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certification in accordance with the latest Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) standards. Instructors shall be personally capable of performing all training evolutions including the ability to effectively complete weapons qualifications in the standing, kneeling and prone positions, ascend or descend ladders and go through narrow passageways, and be free of any abnormal fear of heights.

Requirements

  • Possess a current certification in Basic First Aid.
  • Possess a current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Possess a current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) certification.
  • Possess at least 2 years (within the last five years) of experience providing military first aid or emergency room / trauma center care.
  • Be a qualified 9502 (or equivalent), military instructor, or civilian teacher / professor, with at least 2 years experience delivering classroom training.
  • Possess high personal standards of technical knowledge and professional competence in delivering training material.
  • Possess the ability to perform in a military environment.
  • Possess a familiarity with the U. S. Navy, military rank / grade structure and knowledge of Navy and military terminology.
  • Possess above average communication skills and the ability to comprehend both verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Be certified by the contractor as fully qualified to operate military vehicles / equipment as appropriate.
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver formal course curriculum in Basic First Aid and DHA Combat Lifesaver / Tier 2 TCCC.
  • Conduct daily set-up and maintenance of medical training aides.
  • Maintain current TCCC certification in accordance with the latest PHTLS standards.
  • Perform all training evolutions, including weapons qualifications, navigating obstacles, and not having an abnormal fear of heights.
