About The Position

Benevis is seeking a part-time Expanded Services Dental Assistant to support the dental office and professional staff in delivering quality, compassionate care. The role helps patients and parents navigate treatment, supports clinical procedures, and maintains the readiness and cleanliness of hygiene bays and operatories. Work takes place in a professional office, clinical, or support environment, depending on the role and business needs. Scheduled hours and work location may vary based on business needs, and extended or alternate hours may be required during peak periods or to support operations.

Requirements

Graduation from senior high school or GED equivalent.
Experience in oral surgery, endodontics, and sedation dentistry.
CPR-BLS certification.
Adhere to government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs.

Nice To Haves

X-ray certification, as preferred according to state and individual practice requirements.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient.
Guide parents of minors and patients through processes before treatment.
Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions.
Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
Take X-rays and save them to patient charts, where applicable.
Maintain operational readiness of hygiene bays and operatory rooms.
Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
Mix amalgam, cement, and pulp paste, and prepare impression materials.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, chairs, and rooms.
Assist professional dental staff with treatment, including suctioning, holding retractors, and cutting sutures during surgical procedures.
Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in patient charts.
Pour, trim, and polish impression casts.
Fabricate custom impression trays.
Follow government regulations, company standards, and company compliance programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
