Rogers Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced, credentialed EFDA to serve as a chairside partner to Dr. Jim Rogers. Requirements

  • Ohio EFDA certification required; fully authorized to perform expanded functions under Ohio state dental law
  • Current Ohio RDA licensure required, including completion of an Ohio-approved radiation safety and radiography course
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Significant hands-on EFDA experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of general dentistry experience strongly preferred; EFDA-specific experience given significant weight
  • Dentrix experience strongly preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail in clinical work, documentation, and operatory preparation
  • Calm, confident chairside manner that reflects the professionalism Dr. Jim Rogers' patients expect
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-managing and proactive
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment without sacrificing quality or patient experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full scope of EFDA authorized duties under Ohio state dental law, including placement and finishing of restorations, sealant application, and other permitted expanded functions, with precision and consistency
  • Serve as Dr. Rogers' dedicated chairside partner across a full range of procedures
  • Keep patient flow running efficiently
  • Capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photos in compliance with Ohio state regulations
  • Take precise impressions and perform accurate digital scans
  • Review charts, document treatment data during exams, and transcribe clinical notes accurately and thoroughly
  • Document health histories and medications, and help patients understand how their overall health connects to their oral care
  • Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials for every procedure
  • Maintain instrument sterilization and infection control protocols in full compliance with OSHA standards
  • Manage dental supply inventory and coordinate with the team on ordering and case preparation
  • Help patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident about their treatment plans
  • Provide post-treatment and post-operative care instructions with clarity and compassion
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in full compliance with HIPAA
  • Collaborate across the multi-provider team and contribute wherever needed with a professional attitude
  • Dentrix proficiency applied daily for documentation, scheduling support, and patient records
