Requirements

  • Completion of an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) training program preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Qualified to perform dental radiography in Colorado; DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and patient service skills.
  • Experience with Open Dental software preferred.
  • Ability to assist with restorative procedures, impressions, temporary crowns, sealants, and other expanded duties as permitted by Colorado regulations.
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Digital crown and bridge impressions
  • Full and partial denture impressions and adjustments
  • Making temporary crowns
  • Comfortable in doing composite fillings
  • Assisting in dental procedures such as extractions and root canal procedures
  • Polishing teeth
  • Taking digital X-rays as needed
  • Chairside assist during implant placement, implant restoration, veneer preparation, veneer seating, and other advanced restorative and cosmetic procedures
  • Fabricate, adjust, and cement temporary restorations within the scope of EDDA certification
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care for implants, veneers, and restorative procedures
  • Comfortable with making digital crowns
