About The Position
Pediatric Dentistry of Hamburg in Lexington, KY is expanding and seeking a part-time Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join their team. Requirements
- Must be EDDA Certified
- Dental X-Ray Certification
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication, computer, and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in organizing
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience preferred but not required
- Proven experience as an expanded duties dental assistant
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Certificate for Coronal Polishing
- Additional certification or training is an asset
Responsibilities
- Chair-side assisting during procedures
- Sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Taking x-rays
- Coronal polishing
- Processing lab work for the dentist
- Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene
- Updating and maintaining dental records
