About The Position

The shipper/receiver is responsible for the shipping and receiving of all goods in the warehouse. They will communicate all shipping details to the consignee and ensure the utmost accuracy of everything shipped/received. At all times, the candidate must ensure the safety and maintenance of the warehouse and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- General warehousing
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving process
- Forklift certification
- General knowledge of transportation regulations
- Record keeping
- Post-secondary degree and/or relevant work experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare all shipments and clearly identify all items
- Confirm accuracy and package shipments to ensure safe and damage-free arrival at destination
- Prepare carrier bills of lading (BOL), as required
- Prepare shipping and customs documentation
- Contact and arrange for carrier pick-ups
- Ensure availability and storage of warehouse and shipping supplies
- Vendor returns
- Locate missing parts needed for shipment
- Receive all goods and shipments for the warehouse
- Inspect and confirm all shipments for damage, overages, and shortages
- Receives items into the DMS
- Unblocks pending orders (all customer orders)
- Record keeping
- Notifies consignee of received goods
- Deliver shipment to consignee
- Stock parts on shelves when time permits
- Report, trace, and claim all shortages with carriers or vendors
- Report shortages to the intended consignee
- Participate in cycle counts
