About The Position

The Exhibitor Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through the sale of exhibit/booth space, advertising, and other trade show opportunities for all Erie Events produced shows. This includes, but it’s not limited to, the Erie Home Show, Erie RV & Outdoor Expo, Boat & Fishing Show, ComiCon Erie and two Craft Shows. This position develops relationships with exhibitors and prospective clients, identifies new business opportunities, manages sales processes from prospecting through contract, and works closely with the Trade Show Manager and internal teams to deliver a successful event experience.

Requirements

One – two years’ experience in sales.
Must be a self-starter, proactive and driven with a strong sense of urgency and consistent follow-through.
Superior communication and writing skills.
Be timely, punctual and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Must have great organization and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related subject preferred.

Responsibilities

Prospect for new exhibitors and vendors through research, outreach, networking, referrals, and other business development activities.
Sell tradeshow booth space and other event-related products and services.
Identify prospects, solicit, and secure consumer show vendors.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing exhibitors and clients to encourage repeat participation.
Conduct sales calls, respond to inquiries, and provide timely information regarding vendor options, pricing, and event details.
Meet and exceed established sales goals, revenue target, and activity metrics.
Maintain accurate sales activity, customer information, contracts, and pipeline dates in Momentus.
Prepare proposals, pricing information, contracts, and other sales materials.
Work hand in hand with the Trade Show Manager and internal teams for a successful event experience.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
Assist with post event follow up, renewals, and strategies to increase exhibitor retention.
Works extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
