About The Position
Lifemark Seniors Wellness is a leading rehabilitation provider specializing in therapy solutions for seniors. With over 30 years of experience, they partner with numerous long-term care homes, retirement communities, and senior dwellings to offer physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and therapeutic group exercise programming. This role is for an Exercise Therapist to join their expanding team in Mississauga on a casual basis, starting immediately.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology or College Diploma in related fields.
- First Aid (CPR & AED) Certification.
- Possession of a full driver's license.
- Access to a reliable car.
- Willingness to travel between sites throughout the region.

Responsibilities
- Travel to various sites daily to provide coverage for staff during planned and unplanned absences.
- Independently lead group exercise and falls prevention programs in a group setting, operating outside the scope of a PT.
- Implement exercise and education programs for seniors aimed at increasing mobility, relieving pain, building strength, and improving balance.
- Apply a consistent approach to falls prevention, injury reduction, and enhancing safety awareness in participants' daily activities.
- Educate participants on risks, falls prevention strategies, and post-fall injuries, while increasing independence, cognition, mobility, and quality of life.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports and basic participant metrics, producing data as requested.
- Manage classroom setup and ensure participants can access the program site.
- Supervise residents using exercise equipment, promoting and demonstrating safe equipment usage and proper infection control practices.
- Support and participate in the development and implementation of programs and objectives.
- Accurately collect data for reporting purposes.
