About The Position

Complies with established policies, procedures, and standards regarding quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment and financial stewardship. Responsible for maintaining high standards in clinical practice/continuum of care, professional practice development, teamwork, customer relations, and research/performance improvement for a caseload of patients as described by scopes of care in area of practice. Shares the responsibility with other Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation professionals for day-to-day operation of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program. Works in a multifaceted role with other Cardiopulmonary professionals to see that all patients receive quality education and exercise in all phases and programs within Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program, in Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology, Biology or Health related field required
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certified within 6 months is required
• 1 - 3 years of job-related experience

Nice To Haves

• ACSM certification preferred
• Six months experience in a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual participant’s assessments and evaluations in collaboration with a RN.
• Shares responsibility in planning and evaluating patient care.
• Provides education to Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients and families.
• Shares responsibility with other Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation professionals for all phases of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation including documentation of participants’ exercise progress, preparation of reports, quality/performance improvement measures, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Works collaboratively implementing and updating each participants exercise prescription and evaluates their progress toward mutually identifiable goals.
