About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to perform duties in accordance with New Jersey requirements and standards established by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and the American College of Sports Medicine. The role evaluates and treats Phase 2 and Phase 3 patients, fosters a safe and effective exercise environment, and implements programs established by the department. The Exercise Physiologist supervises monitored and maintenance patients and provides case management for Phase 3 patients. Other duties may include initial exercise evaluations for patients with complex medical needs, instruction during initial exercise sessions, progression of exercise prescriptions according to protocols, and education on risk-factor modification. The role requires the ability to read and interpret telemetry tracings and assess patients’ responses to exercise.

Requirements

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science or a related field.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

1 to 2 years of experience in a hospital-based cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation program.
