The Walker Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an individual with a strong background in exercise physiology to fill an immediately available part-time position. This is a unique role with no "typical day," involving a wide variety of projects. As a Mount Sinai Physiolab Exercise Physiologist, you will collaborate with registered dietitians and exercise physiologists to deliver cutting-edge metabolic assessments to a diverse patient group. You will use gold-standard equipment to perform metabolic and physiological testing, conduct exercise counseling, and generate patient reports. The Physiolab is viewed as a successful start-up with significant potential for growth and impact in personalized and preventive medicine. Exercise Physiologists are expected to contribute to efforts that enhance collaborations and partnerships to promote lab growth in the NY area. There is also potential to become involved in clinical research led by Dr. Walker and other projects at the Human Metabolism and Physiology Lab (HMPL), a core lab within the Translational Research Core at the NIH-funded NY Diabetes Research Center.
