Exercise Physiologist
About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiology Department at Avita Galion Hospital. Under the supervision of the Cardiology Services Department Manager, the Exercise Physiologist performs physical performance evaluations and uses the results to design exercise prescriptions for individuals with medical limitations and for healthy, asymptomatic individuals. The role monitors and evaluates participants’ responses to prescribed exercise. The position is located in the Cath Lab Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The stated schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 80 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology.
- One year of exercise physiology experience.
- ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and/or a related field.
- Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical performance evaluations.
- Design exercise prescriptions based on evaluation results for individuals with medical limitations and healthy asymptomatic individuals.
- Monitor and evaluate participants’ responses to prescribed exercise.
