About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manager Cardiac Pulmonary Services, the Exercise Physiologist clinician provides direct patient care for outpatients by utilizing appropriate knowledge and skills in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team; providing skilled, creative discipline-specific therapeutic services to cardiopulmonary rehab patients. This includes standardized fitness assessments and exercise prescription of all assigned patients, and the development of a treatment plan. May supervise volunteers or other support personnel. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Graduation from an accredited Exercise Science/Sport Science program
  • Coursework/Training: Completion of internship
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association (Facility Managed) within 90 days of hire
  • 1 year of experience in an exercise related position (i.e., Exercise Instructor, Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer or Instructor, Personal Trainer) which may include school internship

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP)
  • 1 year of cardiopulmonary rehab experience and/or stress testing
  • Completion of a clinical internship
