About The Position

We are hiring an Exercise Physiologist for our Cardiac Rehab department at Columbia Saint Mary's and Columbia Saint Mary's Ozaukee. This is a part-time position (.6 FTE) with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from either 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 6:45 am to 3:15 pm. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients.
Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen. Monitor patients' response and revises plan accordingly.
Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise. Respond appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
Provide exercise information for patients, peers, and the community which may include public speaking and education classes.
Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
Prepare, develop, and maintain various files, records, and reports; schedule patient appointments as required.
Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager.
