About The Position
Functions as a member of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab team and provides quality care for patients assigned by the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Director as referred by a licensed physician.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or acceptable related field such as Kinesiology (minimum)
- Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab experience as an exercise physiologist preferred.
- ACSM CES or RCEP, ACLS, PALS, CPR, Accucheck, Other ACSM certification
- Good oral and written abilities necessary to communicate with patients and co-workers, a must.
- Ability to follow direction and self-motivation required.
- Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
- Must have no physical restrictions necessary to assist patient, move equipment, assist in emergency situations, must have no restrictions in verbal communication skills at time of hire or negotiation.
- Demonstrates knowledge, competence in leadership skills, rehab principles and procedures.
- Possesses skills and knowledge necessary to care for patients according to their age specific needs.
- Young Adults – ages 20 to 35
- Middle Adults – ages 36 to 65
- Geriatric – ages 65 +
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Exercise Science preferred.
