About The Position

Ascension - St. Agnes is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for their Cardiac Rehabilitation department in Baltimore, MD. This part-time, day shift position involves implementing and supervising physical exercise programs for patients, conducting patient testing and assessment, planning and teaching exercise therapy, monitoring patient responses, and recognizing contraindications and abnormal responses to exercise.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Bachelor's degree required

Nice To Haves

Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) preferred.
Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement and supervises physical exercise programs for patients.
Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data, patient status and current medication regimen.
Monitor patient's response and revise plan accordingly.
Recognize contraindication and abnormal patient responses to exercise.
