About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Diagnostics works at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights and assists with cardiac stress testing. The role includes preparing patients, monitoring exercise, and assessing patient responses. The Exercise Physiologist monitors vital signs, symptoms, and patient tolerance during cardiac diagnostic testing and communicates changes to the healthcare team. The position collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe patient care and maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, on a day shift from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role includes rotating weekend on-call duty one to two times per month, and may require floating to Schaumburg or the 1632 location as needed. Holidays are not required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology.
• Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• One year of experience as an Exercise Physiologist or a previous internship highly preferred.
