This role involves performing patient assessments, preparing patients for tests, recording ECGs, and monitoring test performance and recovery. The Exercise Physiologist will notify the supervising physician of any abnormal conditions. They will also perform resting 12-lead electrocardiograms and scan Holter monitors, preparing reports for physician interpretation. The position requires monitoring and evaluating various tracings including EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress tests to identify artifacts, dysrhythmias, and ST segment changes. Additionally, the role may involve providing coverage in Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation, which includes understanding exercise prescription for cardiac clients, interpreting telemetry monitors, and educating patients on exercise and healthy lifestyles.
