About The Position

Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) is seeking a part-time Exercise Instructor to teach one class per evening, one hour per week. The Exercise Instructor will play a leadership role in exercise and aerobics for adult and children patients. This role involves ensuring a safe and healthy environment, sharing educational information, teaching classes with energy and enthusiasm to motivate participants, and guiding participants in performing exercises correctly and safely.

Requirements

• Well-organized, energetic and prepared to teach classes for children and adults
• Be in excellent physical condition to teach group exercise
• Possess the ability to think independently and develop routines for teaching specific exercise classes

Nice To Haves

• BA in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Health Science or related field preferred
• Experience and certifications may substitute degree requirement

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for exercising
• Share educational information with class participants
• Teach classes with energy and enthusiasm and motivate participants
• Work with participants to ensure that they are performing exercise correctly and safely
