Law Firm Group Outline of Role: JLL's Law Firm Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as a national resource embedded within one of the firm's most sophisticated and demanding client verticals. This role sits at the intersection of project delivery, market intelligence, and practice development. This is not a traditional project management role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing a construction schedule, presenting market benchmarking data to a Managing Partner or COO, and coaching a local PM on the nuances of law firm culture, decision-making, and workspace expectations. The connection between local execution and national strategy for our Law Firm Practice. Critical to success, understanding that small failures on any project management job reverberate through entire large portfolios with massive negative implications. Expectations: Team Leadership & Local PM Oversight Serve as a senior resource and single point of contact for clients and local JLL project managers assigned to Law Firm Group accounts across the country Provide client construction playbook to local PM’s to educate the local teams prior to client engagement. Present JLL capabilities and proprietary data to clients and prospects Aiding clients in procurement and JLL Synergy programs Conduct regular project reviews with local PMs to ensure consistency in delivery approach, reporting standards, and client communication Identify gaps in local team capability and develop targeted training, tools, or playbooks to close them Travel to key markets / deals to support project kick-offs, milestone reviews, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and client presentations as needed Review and comment on critical lease review related to base building delivery conditions and construction related documents Law Firm Construction Data & Market Intelligence Own and continuously develop JLL's law firm construction benchmarking database across the top 20 +/- US markets and major international markets including London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other key legal hubs Track and analyze key metrics including construction cost PSF by market and finish level, TI allowance trends, project timelines (construction, permit, etc) Produce quarterly and annual benchmarking reports that can be used by JLL brokerage, project management, and law firm clients to inform real estate decisions Monitor and interpret broader market trends including labor and materials cost escalation, supply chain conditions, and their specific impact on law firm project budgets and schedules Collaborate with JLL Research to integrate macro market data with project-level construction intelligence Create and maintain client best practices from job to job to insure projects become more efficient with continual JLL involvement. Law Firm Practice Development & Expert Cultivation Identify high-potential JLL project managers in local markets who demonstrate aptitude and interest in law firm work and develop structured plans to deepen their expertise Create and maintain a law firm PM certification or competency framework within JLL PDS that defines what it means to be a law firm construction expert — covering technical knowledge, client management, and sector-specific delivery standards Build and steward a national community of practice among JLL's law firm PMs — facilitating knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and peer mentoring across markets Develop best practices with Law Firm Group clients for project management capabilities so these can be easily understood and consistently presented as a differentiator in law firm pitches and RFP responses

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the commercial real estate industry.
  • Responsible for generating and delivering a minimum of $8M of annual revenue
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, develop innovative solutions, and drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to lead teams in developing timely and effective solutions to complex project challenges.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Experience managing projects across different geographies and cultures is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, including lease agreements, construction practices, and building systems, is a plus.
  • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to develop and manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models.
  • Proven experience leading and managing high-performing project management teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore) is an advantage.
  • A master's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
