Executive Vice President, Operating Model & Product

The Citco Group Limited•Dallas, TX

About The Position

Citco is a global leader in fund services, corporate governance and related asset services with staff across 50 office locations worldwide. The Fund Administration business line is Citco’s core business, and its alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Strategic Operations is a dedicated function within Private Assets, bringing transformation delivery, project execution, business analysis, operational initiatives, and implementation support into one team. This group is split across three distinct focus areas, aligned under two individual leaders. The Operating Model, Product & Client Solutions area, led by the Operating Model & Product leader, will define how services should run end to end, shape scalable products and solutions, support complex client implementations, and ensure client commitments are operationally deliverable. The group works in close partnership with Operations, the Transformation Office, IT, Tactical Operations and Marquee Client teams. Roles may be permanent or approximately 12-month rotational assignments anchored in strategic locations.

Requirements

  • 12–15 years’ experience in fund administration, alternative asset management or a related financial services environment, predominantly in private assets.
  • A demonstrable record of delivering large-scale operating model or product re-engineering initiatives, with change that was genuinely adopted by the business.
  • Deep knowledge of private assets operating models, fund structures and the end-to-end service model.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management, with credibility in front of clients and senior leadership.
  • Commercial judgement — able to assess what we can genuinely deliver and price, and to hold that line in a client conversation.
  • Portfolio and programme governance experience, with proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple focus areas.
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals, including rotational colleagues joining from the business.
  • Skilled in business planning, budgeting and stakeholder negotiation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; professional accounting designation a plus
  • Deep technical and operational knowledge — genuine depth in how our processes, data and platforms actually work — the detail that only comes from having run the work.
  • Curiosity — the instinct to ask why a process looks the way it does, to challenge the answer, and to keep asking whether there is a better way.
  • A transformational mindset — comfortable redesigning end to end rather than patching, and prepared to see change through past go-live to the point where it is genuinely adopted.
  • Ownership through to adoption — accountability does not end at delivery; success is measured by whether the change sticks in the business.
  • Commercial and client awareness — an understanding of what we can genuinely run, so that what we commit to a client is deliverable.
  • Global mindset — working across regions, jurisdictions and time zones, and designing solutions that scale beyond a single desk, client or location.
  • Ambition to shape Citco’s future — an appetite to help build the operating model we will run for years, and to be measured on whether it works.

Responsibilities

  • Own how our service should run and what we commit to clients, with accountability for the design and adoption of the Private Assets operating model.
  • Set the direction for the Private Assets operating model — defining how services should run end to end, and building the case for change with senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the Operating Model, Product & Client Solutions focus area, balancing long-term transformation priorities with near-term business and client demand.
  • Act as the senior Operations voice in client pitches, POCs and strategic direction setting, ensuring what we sell is something we can genuinely run.
  • Own the marquee solution reuse agenda — identifying where a solution built for one client can be applied across the wider book, and driving that rollout.
  • Partner at senior level with Operations, Tactical Operations, Marquee Client teams, the Transformation Office and IT to align change activity and remove duplication.
  • Govern the transformation portfolio, including prioritisation, resourcing, budget, risk, dependencies and executive reporting.
  • Establish plans for new client setup, transitions and complex implementations, coordinating across Operations, Financial Statements, Tax and Investor Relations.
  • Build and develop the team, including the rotational model, and actively participate in recruitment.
  • Maintain alignment with Tactical Operations and Marquee Operations, routing work to the right group and handing back anything better delivered tactically.
  • Represent Strategic Operations at Private Assets and CFS leadership forums.
