About The Position

The Executive Team Leader of Specialty Sales is responsible for driving total store sales by leading specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations. This role focuses on inspiring guests and building the basket, particularly in the Apparel & Accessories (A&A), Beauty, and Electronics departments. The position involves prioritizing guest experience while ensuring product availability and ease of shopping through tasks like pulling, filling, pricing, staging, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom. The role offers opportunities to develop knowledge in guest service fundamentals, retail business, inventory management, and sales strategies, as well as experience in managing teams and developing business-specific strategies.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Drive total store sales and understand the impact of departments and team on profitability.
  • Create a guest-obsessed culture and lead the team to prioritize guest experience and achieve sales goals.
  • Create and adjust schedules based on guest traffic and business needs.
  • Manage team to plan merchandising and pricing workload, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, and promotions.
  • Assess competition and leverage guest insights to drive business and become the destination of choice.
  • Build a team of knowledgeable and passionate consultants for A&A, Beauty, and Electronics.
  • Manage and develop a sales force using selling training techniques.
  • Lead A&A, Beauty, and Electronics backroom processes, organization, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor.
  • Lead team to deliver inspiring visual moments in A&A, Home, Baby, and other seasonally relevant areas.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are used as an extension of the sales floor and are welcoming.
  • Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational change.
  • Anticipate and identify changes in store trends.
  • Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan, and recruit.
  • Develop and coach team members and Team Leaders to elevate their skills and expertise.
  • Lead team onboarding, learning, and help close product knowledge and skill gaps.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and hold the team accountable.
  • Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits.
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
