The Executive Protection Specialist supports all aspects of security operations for designated principal(s). This dynamic position requires flexibility and an ability to adapt to changing operational requirements as directed by client needs, and successful performance will require a high degree of motivation and the ability to adapt to fluid and dynamic security performance modes, locations, teams, and structures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in protective operations.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • California Guard Card, CPR/AED certification, and CCW (HR218 or LEOSA) required; proof of licenses and certifications are required prior to offer.
  • Strong working knowledge of Protective Intelligence functions, platforms, software and tools.
  • Strong base knowledge in all facets of protective operations.
  • Advanced understanding of technology-based protective applications.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.).
  • Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearance.
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift items of 20+ lbs. or more and stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating within the intelligence community, military (with honorable discharge), or law enforcement sectors.
  • Graduate of a reputable protective operations training program.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Tactical law enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide protective coverage for principal(s) and their family in a way that is professional, courteous, and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and best practices.
  • Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
  • Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or act as response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
  • Carry out daily Post and detail orders, or orders from the AIC, ADL, MPS or SL.
  • Participate in advanced security operations.
  • Man the security post at the principal’s residence, the command post, or other static post as required.
  • Conduct site surveys and risk assessments.
  • Participate in recurring protective operations training, to include emergency medical, vehicle operations, surveillance detection, and firearms proficiencies.
  • Operate vehicles, including but not limited to; EVs, golf carts, and off-road vehicles in support of the client.
  • Document security incidents, including preparing reports and briefs as needed.
  • Utilize with expert working proficiency computers, tablets, phones, satellite communications devices, and other electronics.
  • Operate comfortably alongside other security teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
