This team operates internationally, covering residential security, event security, secure transportation, protective intelligence, travel security, and site advance security planning. The organization aims to create a secure environment that empowers team members globally to perform their best work. The Executive Protection Specialist will play a key role in supporting the security detail for client family members, with a primary focus on the school security program and extracurricular activities. Secondary duties involve supporting residential security, executive protection assignments, events, and interfacing with high-profile visitors. The role requires understanding and mitigating risks associated with the organization and Snap Inc. team, including personal travel risks for families domestically and internationally. Responsibilities include participating in advance surveys, threat assessments, and event planning to ensure security measures are adequate. The specialist will recommend and implement security enhancements for focus areas, facilities, operations, and personnel. Significant travel, up to 50% internationally and domestically, is expected, and the role may require 24-hour availability to support operations. Ad hoc duties to support daily operations are also part of the role.

Requirements

10+ years of law enforcement experience
Demonstrated strong experience with: family security programs, executive protection, intelligence analysis and risk assessments; executive communications
Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends to adapt to our 24/7 operation, to include working a rotating schedule to support operations
A valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
Valid BSIS Guard Card
Valid BSIS Firearms Permit
Valid California Concealed Weapon Permit or LEOSA (HR 218) Credentials

Nice To Haves

Multi-National Protective Services experience
Bachelor's degree
Valid EMT Certification
Works well in a team environment and gets hands-on to complete the tasks needed to protect the company and people
An ability to assess, understand, and mitigate threats to the company and people while not stifling creativity and fun

Responsibilities

Lead all elements in support of the security detail for client family members, primarily focused on the school security program, and extracurricular activities, as applicable
Partner with other Protective Services team members to support residential security operations, client executive protection detail assignments, events and interfacing with high profile visitors
Understand the risks to the organization and Snap Inc. team, including personal travel risks for families within domestic and foreign locations; selecting and implementing appropriate controls and risk mitigations
Participate in advance survey, threat assessments and event planning to ensure access control, asset protection, confidentiality, and other security matters are adequately addressed through a written plan accepted by stakeholders
Recommend and implement security measures to enhance security for your areas of focus, our facilities, operations, and people
Travel, both internationally and domestically, up to 50% of the time with the client, client family or event planners and may be called upon 24 hours a day to support the operations
Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as required to support day to day operations
