About The Position

The Executive Protection Agent is part of a 24 x 7 security and intelligence team that provides protective services to members of Executive Leadership at the Headquarters facility and elsewhere. This position assists with developing and directing policies, procedures and programs to coordinate a safe and secure environment for Executive Leadership and their family members. Must qualify for HR 218 (LEOSA) and be ASO certified. The role is largely remote with travel, however candidate MUST be able to come into the office as needed in Charlotte, NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management or equivalent education and related training.
  • Seven years of experience with progressively increased responsibilities to include executive protection, criminal investigations and managerial experience responsible for personnel, goals/objectives, budget, operational initiatives and compliance reporting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Strong working relationship with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies both domestic and foreign.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding duties related to providing personal protection services.
  • Must qualify for HR 218 (LEOSA).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in risk management, criminal justice, business administration or other similar fields
  • Prior federal law enforcement experience in a protective role (e.g. United States Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, State Department, Homeland Security)
  • CPR and AED training and certification
  • Professional Certifications or U.S. Government delivered training in Physical Security or Risk Management (CPP, CEM, PSP, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Administer an executive personal protection detail by outlining security risks and provide general guidance on safety, security and personal protection matters for selected company executives and their family members.
  • Coordinate effective security measures for Executive Leadership while travelling domestically and internationally.
  • Responsible for conducting confidential investigations, protective intelligence, and acting as a liaison with local and federal law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain high level of trust and confidence with regard to all aspects of Executive Leadership.
  • Direct oversight of the Executive Home Security Program.
  • Coordinate intelligence gathering thru the Truist SIOC in support of protective details.
  • Ensure consistent applications of professional best practices in administering the overall executive protection program.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of specific requirements imposed by government agencies such as the Block Aircraft Registration Request (BARR) program, Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act, and Armed Security Officer programs.
  • Partner with applicable internal departments to coordinate security at the Corporate Headquarters building and other locations.
  • Assist in the development and compliance with departmental budget.
