About The Position

The Executive Producer will be responsible for determining the best news stories for the program, creating the daily rundown, and collaborating with show hosts in program preparation and execution. This role involves identifying compelling news stories, developing story ideas, conducting research, and planning segments. The Executive Producer will also delegate responsibilities to producers and supervise production staff, ensuring timely content is produced under heavy deadline pressure. Staying updated with domestic and international news, politics, and current events is crucial, as is excelling in a highly competitive environment and possessing exceptional editorial skills. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or similar.
  • 5+ years executive producing experience or overseeing newscast production.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under heavy deadline pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data accurately and consistently follow through.
  • Team player with effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proactive and solutions focused.

Responsibilities
